(WHITE TWP., NJ – September 10, 2025) – Laura Wojick, Computer Science and Information Technology teacher in Phillipsburg High School District, was honored as Warren County Teacher of the Year by the Warren County Board of County Commissioners.
The County Commissioners presented Wojick with a proclamation and celebrated her nomination and selection as Warren County Teacher of the Year through the Governor’s Educator of the Year Program.
Commissioner Director Jason J. Sarnoski expressed how the Board was proud to acknowledge Wojick's excellence as an educator and
celebrate her selection as the Warren County Teacher of the Year, stating, "coming from a family of teachers I understand the value they add to our community and want to thank you for all the hard work that you've done."
Wojick transitioned from the business world into education via the alternate route program and has been teaching at Phillipsburg High School for twenty-five years. Wojick received her bachelor’s degree in science from Rider University and a master’s degree in educational technology from The College on New Jersey.
As an Advanced Placement Computer Science and Cisco Academy Instructor for two decades, Wojick has worked hard to constantly update and bring innovative technology trends to the classroom. Wojick co-advises the Technology Student Association, founded a Girls Who Code chapter, and was recognized with the 2022 National Center for Women and Information Technology Aspirations in Computing Educator Award. She is currently expands her expertise in artificial intelligence through coursework at Carnegie Mellon University and participation in the Educational Advances in Artificial Intelligence 2025 symposium.
