Join the State Historical Marker Program team as they provide advice on how to start your research for a marker application through their 250th initiative.

The initiative is connected to the commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration. The proposed markers can address any time period related to at least one of the following RevolutionNJ themes:

• Revolutionary Ideals
• Exclusion/Inclusion
• Property & Sovereignty
• Political Participation
• Movement of People
• NJ as a "Battleground"

The Warren County list of state markers is small, and most are no longer installed/visible.  Please note that on the state list, some of the road numbers have changed. Most of the signs are blue with white lettering and have the State seal at the top.

1. "Army Encampment" (Phillipsburg, Route 24 opposite 51 Morris Street)-- sign may no longer be installed, some information has to be confirmed
2. "Major Robt. Hoops" (Belvidere, Intersection 46 and Belvidere-Phillipsburg Road) -- sign may no longer be installed
3. "Major Robt. Hoops Store & Mill" (Greenwich Street near 5th Street) 40.82385, -75.07872
4. "Blairstown" (Rt 94 at Blairstown entrance of Blair Academy) -- sign may no longer be installed
5. "Burgoyne's Army" (Mansfield, Rt 57 leaving Beattystown for Hackettstown)-- there is a sign on Asbury-Anderson Road (north side) near Changewater, but unconfirmed if this was a State sign or local
